Cookies and browser storage.

You can use job search and RSS without accepting optional visit analytics.

Site tracking and your choice

The website’s own tracking is off by default and can be turned on or off by an administrator. While off, new visitor, bot, aggregate, search and RSS recording is disabled. Requests already accepted for processing may finish. Switching off does not erase historical records or change their retention periods.

When site tracking is on, optional visit analytics and search-phrase counts still require acceptance of the current notice. You can decline, withdraw your choice or request deletion of your current session using these controls, including while tracking is off. Your choice does not prevent you from browsing jobs or contacting the website.

If browser storage is unavailable, a choice may apply only to the current page. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable the website’s client analytics requests.

Storage used by the website

Application-controlled cookies and browser storage

NamePurposeLifetimeWhen used
publiceurope.visit-analytics.v3Remembers your analytics choice in local storage; contains no visitor identifier.180 days from the choice; browsing does not renew it.After you accept or decline.
pe_visitLinks optional visit events to a session. Server-only, secure cookie restricted to analytics endpoints.30 minutes of inactivity.Only while site tracking is on and after acceptance.
Earlier analytics choicesOlder preference keys may remain in your browser. A previous decline is respected; a previous acceptance does not authorise new search-phrase collection. The expiry recorded with that choice.Only if previously stored.

A previously saved analytics choice or session cookie may remain until its expiry or removal. Turning site tracking off does not renew a session cookie or erase old records. Deletion remains available through the privacy controls.

Hosting and security services may also use strictly necessary storage to protect requests or maintain an authorised administrator’s sign-in. Administrator authentication is separate from optional public-site analytics.

Counts without a session cookie

When site tracking is on, the website can record basic page, search, application-link and RSS activity counts without storing a visitor identifier in those totals. Successful feed requests and subscription figures reported by some RSS readers may also be counted. These measurements stop accepting new records when tracking is off; requests already accepted may finish. The privacy notice explains the fields, retention and limits.

A feed request is not proof of a subscriber, and an application click is not a submitted application. External advertising and analytics providers remain inactive even when the website’s own tracking is on.

Maps and other websites

Opening a map requests tiles from OpenStreetMap’s servers. The tile provider receives connection information, including an IP address and the requested map area. These map requests still occur if you open a map while site tracking is off. Following an application link or using an RSS reader involves that provider’s own storage and privacy practices. Emailing the website uses your mail app and email providers; see the contact details.

Browser controls

Your browser can block or remove cookies and local storage. Removing a saved analytics choice can make the website ask again when site tracking is on; removing a cookie alone does not delete records already held by the website. Use the privacy controls or the contact details for a data request.
